BEHIND THE BRAND

My name is Emily,  I am 23 and I work in film, currently in the set decoration department.

The reason I got into film was because of the furniture. Period chairs, and ornate tables that hide stories of the past in their draws. 

I have always painted, never confident in my abilities to transform a blank canvas. So I decided to try painting a lumpy bumpy canvas that already has a character that I can add to, it felt less daunting. 

Apparently every small business needs a why that is bigger than one’s self, a bigger purpose, a reason to dig deep in the moments you feel defeated. The thing I feel most strongly about is the state of the planet and how we as humans are impacting negatively on the environment. If I can use my platform, and my skills to give a voice to my furniture, creating more awareness then I have a purpose. I can legitimately do something to potentially make a difference to the world we live on for future generations.
