DIY outdoor cinema

Summer seems to run away from me every year. I wake up one frosty morning in October and wonder where it went, the long lazy days full of sun cream and spritz. There always seems to be so much more to do during the summer, and one event I have been meaning to go to is the Luna Cinema. The idea of taking a picnic and blanket, sitting on the grass watching an old classic is so romantic and old school. But once again time ran away from us, and suddenly all the available dates had gone by and I felt I’d missed out.
So instead we decided to make our own.
It turns out it’s not too difficult to rig up a projector and screen in your own back garden, when you have a projector and a screen or bedsheet to hand. James and I ordered a pizza and snuggled down to watch Castaway under the stars in the comfort of our own garden. Complete with half time ice creams brought round by James’s Dad. With the freedom of whenever it suited us, and whatever film we wanted to watch I would highly recommend it! Even if it is a nightmare to pack away in the dark!
Set up a picnic spot with pillows and blankets, add a few candles and some fairy lights and you have yourself quite the evening, be it for a romantic time for two or an event for the whole family!
